Privacy policy

Daintree Tours is an independent information website. We respect your privacy and collect as little personal information as possible.

What we collect

  • Contact form: if you send us a message, the form posts your name, email address, any topic you choose and your message to our /api/contact endpoint. That endpoint emails the note to our editorial inbox via Resend (when an API key is configured) or FormSubmit (formsubmit.co).
  • Server logs: our hosting provider, Netlify, may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and performance.

What we do not collect

This website does not set its own advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not store anything in your browser's local storage. Fonts are served from this website, not from a third-party font service. We do not sell personal information.

We load GetYourGuide Partner Analytics (widget.getyourguide.com) on every page so labelled affiliate widgets and deep links can be attributed. Selected pages also embed GetYourGuide availability or activities widgets (iframes from widget.getyourguide.com, assets from cdn.getyourguide.com, telemetry to collector.getyourguide.com). If you click through to GetYourGuide, that site may use its own first-party cookies under its privacy policy. Those tools are affiliate measurement, not a general advertising network on this domain.

Links to other websites, such as government and official sources, are covered by those websites' own privacy policies once you leave this site.

How we use it

We use contact details only to reply to you and to correct or improve our pages. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Third parties

Resend and/or FormSubmit, our hosting provider (Netlify), and GetYourGuide (for affiliate widgets and click attribution) process data under their own privacy policies.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete a message you have sent, or ask what information we hold about you, through our contact page. This policy is general information guided by the Australian Privacy Principles.
