The park is jointly managed by the Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land is not a footnote under a waterfall photograph. It is the legal and cultural fact that organises access.
Mossman Gorge Centre is an Indigenous-owned visitor gateway. Ngadiku Dreamtime Walks are guided walks led by local people, booked through the centre, with times and fees the centre sets. That is the cultural introduction many visitors should take first — not instead of a self-guided boardwalk if you want both, but before you treat the gorge as a granite playground.

Historic 2006 pages on this domain barely explained any of this. They sold packages. The rebuild keeps the URLs and replaces the shrug with a note you can act on.
Practical pairings
If you have one morning from Port Douglas, book a Dreamtime Walk or give Baral Marrjanga a full hour, then decide whether the ferry is still worth the afternoon. If you have a Cairns day, do not skip the gorge only because the cape photograph is more famous. If you stay north of the ferry, you are still on the same country — cassowaries, creeks and boardwalks included.

We use Eastern Kuku Yalanji, Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation, Ngadiku, Baral Marrjanga, Marrdja / Maardja and CYPAL as the park and centre use them. Older operator pages spelled some of those words differently. If a spelling here drifts from the live official page, the official page is correct and the contact inbox is open.
We do not translate ceremony. We do not publish secret material. We do not use Traditional Owner names as a flavour adjective on a rafting combo. The 2006 shopfront on this domain did not model that discipline. The rebuild tries to.
